1. Accepting these terms

By using this site you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please stop using it. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

2. What the service is

The site offers three things:

• An embedded speed test provided by OpenSpeedTest, which runs on their servers and measures download and upload throughput.
• A latency test that measures round-trip time from your browser to a list of well-known public services.
• Optional storage of your own latency results, and aggregate anonymous statistics built from everyone's results.

The service is provided free of charge. No account is required for any measurement feature.

3. Accuracy and limitations

Every figure on this site is an estimate produced under conditions we do not control. In particular:

• Results depend on your device, browser, Wi-Fi, router, local network, provider, and the load on the servers being measured.
• The latency test measures a full HTTPS round trip, including DNS, TCP and TLS. It reads higher than a command-line ping and is not a substitute for it.
• Speed test results are produced entirely by OpenSpeedTest. We do not see, verify, or store them.
• Aggregate statistics reflect only the people who happened to test here, and are not a representative survey of any provider or country.

Do not rely on these numbers where accuracy matters legally or commercially — for a contractual dispute with a provider, for example, use the measurement method that provider or your regulator recognises.

4. Pi accounts and sign-in

Signing in with Pi is optional and only links your saved results to your Pi account so they follow you across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your own Pi account secure. We can only see the identifier and username the Pi Platform gives us; we never see your password, wallet keys, or balance.

We may end a session, or decline to create one, if we detect abuse. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your stored results at any time from the history section.

5. Donations

Donations are entirely voluntary and buy nothing. There is no premium tier, and no feature is withheld from people who do not donate.

• Payments are handled by the Pi platform. We never hold your wallet credentials and cannot move funds on your behalf.
• Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed by us. Donations are non-refundable.
• A message you attach to a donation travels with the payment and is stored with the donation record. It may be shown publicly next to your Pi username on this site, so do not include anything private.
• Where this deployment runs on the Pi Testnet, any Pi involved is test Pi with no monetary value. The site says so plainly next to the donate button.
• You are responsible for any tax treatment of a donation in your own jurisdiction.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Automate the tests at a volume that degrades the service for others, or drives load at the third-party services being measured.
• Attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or infrastructure that is not yours.
• Submit fabricated results in order to distort the public statistics.
• Use the site to break the law where you are, or to interfere with anyone else's network.

We rate-limit requests and may block access that looks abusive. That is a technical measure, not a judgement about you, and it is usually temporary.

7. Third-party services

Using this site involves services we do not operate: OpenSpeedTest for the speed test, the Pi platform for sign-in and payments, and the public services measured by the latency test. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do. We cannot guarantee their availability or behaviour.

8. Intellectual property

The name, design, and code of this site belong to its operator. OpenSpeedTest is an independent open-source project, used here under its own licence, and the credit link beneath the widget is part of that arrangement — please do not remove it if you reuse this code. Pi, Pi Network, and Pi Browser are trademarks of their respective owner; this site is an independent application and is not endorsed by them.

9. No warranty

The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that any measurement is accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of this site is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from reliance on any measurement it produces. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and availability

These terms may change. The date at the top reflects the last revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. The service itself may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time — it is offered free and without any commitment to keep running.
